We are thrilled at how the Lord has been working! We just finished a very busy month of ministry in September. We spent the majority of the month in Cleveland, Ohio, serving on the Hope For America crusade team. This crusade was an areawide meeting where 15 churches joined together to reach their communities with the Gospel! We met at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds for 8 days straight and 34 individuals trusted Christ! Praise the Lord! We are also thankful for another 19 people who received assurance of their salvation during the week. There are so many incredible stories of how God was orchestrating things in the background to bring people to the meeting and hear the Gospel. Many invited lost friends, but several invitations were “chance” meetings between a church/team member and a lost person. We know that these were divine appointments orchestrated by God.
One unique opportunity that we had during the week was to share the Gospel at Cleveland State University. A group of 20+ individuals from the churches went to the university to hand out invitations to the crusade and engage students in conversations about eternity. Many students rejected our invitations, but I was amazed at the number of good Gospel conversations that we had. Three students trusted Christ that day!
One of the students that I spoke to was a young man named Brock. He had grown up Muslim but was now considering Atheism. I asked him why, and he began to explain that he couldn’t reconcile how a moral God could send people to Hell. I began to share the Gospel with him and try to answer his genuine questions from Scripture. After about 20 minutes, I could tell he was engaged, but still battling inside. I told him that I could tell he was in inner turmoil – to which he admitted he was. I then told him that when I trusted Christ He gave me an unexplainable peace within. This resonated with Brock. It is something he doesn’t have. Please pray for him. He did not trust Christ and is still searching for answers. Brock’s story is multiplied in others (old and young) all over our country today. Be ready to give an answer of the hope that you have!
At the beginning of October, we headed to Canton, Ohio, for revival services at Calvary Bible Baptist Church. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with these sweet people. We were thankful to hear of several mentioning how God had used His Word to work in their hearts, and that they were leaving the week changed. Praise God!
