As an Evangelist, it is my duty to preach the Gospel to the lost, as well as help believers mature in their faith so that they would be equipped to do the work of the ministry. The Lord has allowed us to accomplish these responsibilities through a number of various avenues. I often preach to young people at Vacation Bible Schools, Day Camps, or weeklong camps and retreats. He has also given us opportunities to minister through evangelistic crusades and church planting. A large portion of our ministry is preaching Revival meetings or special services.
In these meetings (often half-week or full week) I have three primary goals that follow my calling as an evangelist:
- Preach the Gospel to the Lost
- Preach Revival Truths for Believers
- Encourage the Pastor
with one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel

THE NEED
Matthew 9:37 says, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few.” During Jesus day, there were between 100 and 300 million people on earth. Today, we are living in a world with over 8 billion people. The harvest truly is plenteous. Approximately 2.3 billion people identify as Christian. This number sounds good until you realize that over half of those 2.3 billion are Catholic, and a very small number of the remaining half of identifying Christians believe that salvation is by faith alone in Christ alone. The harvest is plenteous.
OUR BURDEN
The Bible gives clear principles regarding revival – life again. As believers, our personal relationship to the Lord can become distant and dim when we fail to walk with Him daily. Our lives can become plagued with defeat in sin. When this happens, we need a spiritual renewal – revival! Revival is not a working up of emotions. Revival takes place when a believer draws near to God again and returns to normal Christian living as outlined in the Bible. Revival is not an arbitrary action by God, rather it is His promised response to His children. When believers seek the Lord, they will find Him!
Evangelism is the natural outflow of revival. When God’s people are right with Him, they will be burdened for the lost and filled with His Spirit! A great awakening in America begins with believers being revived!
